Position Summary Start your career in the skilled trades with MornstAir’s registered Pipefitter Apprenticeship Program. This structured four-year program combines paid on-the-job training with paid classroom instruction to help you develop the skills needed to become a journeyman pipefitter. As a Level 1 Apprentice, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced journeymen on commercial, industrial, and semiconductor construction projects. You’ll learn to prepare, install, maintain, and repair piping systems while building safe work habits and practical trade knowledge. No prior pipefitting experience is required. We’re looking for dependable individuals who are eager to learn, enjoy hands-on work, and want to build a long-term career in construction. What You’ll Do and Learn All work is performed under qualified supervision, with tasks assigned according to your training, demonstrated skills, and required safety authorization.
• Build core pipefitting

Learn to measure, cut, thread, ream, and prepare pipe using hand and power tools.
• Assist with installation: Help assemble and install pipes, valves, fittings, hangers, and supports.
• Read technical drawings: Learn to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and piping layouts to support installation work.
• Prepare tools and materials: Identify, organize, and stage materials and equipment, and help maintain tools.
• Learn pipe joining methods: Develop skills in threaded, grooved, welded, and other applicable connections within your level of training.
• Support testing and maintenance: Assist with system inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacement.
• Follow safe work practices: Use required personal protective equipment and follow company, OSHA, and site-specific safety procedures.
• Keep work areas organized: Assist with material handling, equipment setup, and cleanup related to assigned pipefitting work.
• Complete required paid training: Attend scheduled apprenticeship classes, complete coursework and assessments, and apply your learning on the job.
• Document your progress: Accurately record training activities and hours and participate in progress reviews with your supervisor. Apprenticeship Program The program includes a minimum of 8,000 hours of supervised on-the-job learning, supplemented by required paid classroom instruction. Attendance and completion of assigned classroom training are required, and classes may take place outside the regular jobsite schedule. Apprentices receive progressive wage increases according to the program’s established wage schedule and advancement requirements. Selected apprentices serve a 12-week apprenticeship probationary period. Required Qualifications
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Interest in mechanical systems, hands-on work, and learning a skilled trade.
• Willingness to complete the program’s classroom instruction and on-the-job training requirements.
• Ability to follow instructions, communicate with teammates, and accept feedback.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role, including lifting and carrying materials, bending, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Environment Work may take place in mechanical rooms, utility plants, cleanrooms, and active construction areas. Tasks may involve indoor or outdoor work, noise, dust, varying temperatures, and the use of construction tools and equipment. Required safety training and task-specific guidance will be provided. • Standard hourly rate: $27-$30, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Davis-Bacon (DBA) covered work: $31.46 per hour, plus applicable fringe benefits, for work subject to Davis-Bacon requirements.
