Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Maintenance & Facilities Manager to lead all maintenance, engineering, utilities, and capital improvement activities for our manufacturing facility. In this hands-on leadership role, you will ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our production equipment and plant infrastructure. You will drive continuous improvement, maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and oversee a team of maintenance professionals, contractors, and departmental budgets while ensuring strict regulatory compliance.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintenance Leadership: Lead, train, and develop a team of mechanical and electrical technicians. Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all production equipment and facility assets.
Technical Troubleshooting: Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and automation systems.
Facilities & Utilities: Manage all building systems and plant utilities (electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, steam, and water systems).
Engineering & Capital Projects: Lead facility improvement and capital projects from planning through implementation. Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and contractor work plans.
Inventory & Vendor Management: Manage maintenance parts inventory, purchasing, and storeroom operations. Direct outside contractors and service providers, ensuring safety, work quality, and cost control.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, NFPA, environmental, and local regulatory requirements. Champion plant safety initiatives, including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety programs.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related field (preferred).
Strong technical expertise in mechanical and industrial electrical systems, PLCs, industrial controls, hydraulics/pneumatics, and facility infrastructure.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
Experience with CMMS or ERP systems (Syspro preferred); AutoCAD experience is a plus.
Licensed Electrician (preferred).
Valid Driver's License (required).
Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
