Community Manager
Hybrid, on the road across the Phoenix area (Maricopa, East Valley, West Valley)
Full-time | $50,000 base + enrollment incentives | Estimated total pay: $65,000
About the role
Flourish Schools is a private school network in the greater Phoenix area built around project-based learning and student ownership. We’re growing fast, and we need someone to drive that growth in the field. The Community Manager owns four things: sourcing the community-based locations that will become our next schools, enrolling students, making sure our campuses meet Flourish School Standards, and organizing parents and community partners. This is a full-time role with real ownership and real targets. \n \n$50,000
- $65,000 a year What you’ll do Real Estate Sourcing
• Research every community-based location in your target areas that could host a Flourish school, including existing schools, churches, YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs, community centers, and college campuses
• Reach out by email, phone, and in person, and follow every lead until you know whether the space is a fit
• Build real partnerships with pastors, faith leaders, and community leaders, not just landlord relationships, by learning what their community wants and needs and aligning it with what Flourish can deliver
• Once a site agrees to move forward, hand it off to our Chief Growth Officer Growth & Enrollment
• Drive enrollment by owning each family from first contact through enrollment, then hand them off to the Head of School
• Host open houses, workshops, and community events
• Test local marketing and community strategies, and scale what works Campus Operations
• Visit each campus every two weeks to ensure it meets Flourish School Standards
• Flag anything that falls short to our Chief Academic Officer Parent Organizing and Community Organizing
• Recruit and organize a network of Flourish parents and community supporters
• Hold 1:1 meetings with parents to build relationships and find emerging leaders
• Help parents understand the local education landscape, who makes decisions, and the power they have together
• Coach parents to step into leadership, and lead small, visible actions that show what an organized parent community can do Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with operations, marketing, and admissions on growth
• Keep HubSpot accurate so the whole team can see where every family and partner stands What success looks like
• In your first 100 days: secure locations for all 4 to 6 new schools
• This fall: hold 1:1 meetings with parents and lead small actions that show what active parents can do. We’ll set specific organizing goals together once you’re on board.
• Enroll 180 students across those schools
• After that, you’ll be measured on ongoing growth and enrollment What we’re looking for
• A natural seller with real warmth. This is a sales job, but our culture runs on relationships, so you win by building trust
• An organizer’s instincts: you understand how parent voice turns into real advocacy power, you help others grow into leaders, and you’re a go-getter who makes things happen
• Belief in the power of grassroots organizing and real urgency about improving education for kids
• Background in education, sales, or strong operational execution
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
• Can execute on high-level direction without needing a step-by-step playbook
• Strong local ties, or the ability to build them quickly, with families and community leaders
• Effective on the phone, over email, and in person, including with people who’ve never heard of us
• Organized and relentless about follow-through
• Reliable vehicle for travel across the Valley
• Available weekdays, with some evenings and weekends for events and partner meetings
• Spanish is a bonus, not a requirement
• Organizing, campaign, or community advocacy experience is a plus \n Good to know
• Full-time, salaried, starting as soon as possible
• Hybrid: you’ll work remotely and spend much of your time on-site at campuses, events, and site visits across your territory. You’ll need to live in the Phoenix area.

• Your territory covers Maricopa and the East Valley up to the 202 (including San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, Gilbert, and Chandler), plus the West Valley from Buckeye to North Glendale
• Your focus shifts with the calendar: real estate sourcing and parent organizing in the fall, real estate through the school year, and enrollment in the summer
• Mileage is reimbursed
• Great fit for former teachers who are ready to leave the classroom and build something
