OVERVIEW Based in Huntsville, Alabama, Quantum Technologies, Inc. (QTI) specializes in professional audio, video, and control systems. QTI provides system design, integration, installation, project management, and technical support services for government, military, and commercial customers. Our projects include federal courtrooms, command and operations centers, conference facilities, corporate boardrooms, and other specialized audiovisual environments. MISSION Quantum Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented AV CAD Designer / Draftsperson to support our audiovisual engineering, fabrication, and installation teams. The ideal candidate will have approximately 4–6 years of relevant CAD experience, using software such as AutoCAD, Vectorworks, or comparable design applications, along with a working knowledge of professional audiovisual systems. This position focuses on developing, modifying, maintaining, and distributing accurate technical drawings and project documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers, project managers, and installation personnel to support AV system integration projects from initial design through final completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
CAD Drafting and Technical Documentation
• Create, modify, and maintain detailed two-dimensional technical drawings using AutoCAD, Vectorworks, or similar CAD software.
• Develop and update AV system drawings, rack elevations, equipment layouts, wiring diagrams, signal-flow diagrams, and installation details.
• Prepare custom connection plate drawings and mechanical details for shop fabrication.
• Maintain accurate drawing revisions throughout project design, fabrication, and installation.
• Utilize established CAD standards, drawing templates, and file management procedures.
• Prepare and distribute printed drawing sets and electronic PDF documentation.
• Incorporate field redlines and installation changes into final as-built drawings.
• Assist with technical submittals, construction drawings, and final project documentation. Audiovisual Systems Support
• Support the development and documentation of professional audio, video, conferencing, control, and networked AV systems.
• Review project specifications and equipment documentation with engineering personnel.
• Assist in verifying equipment compatibility and integration requirements.
• Research equipment specifications, availability, and manufacturer updates as needed.
• Help maintain accurate equipment lists, bills of materials, and drawing packages.
• Assist engineering personnel with system modifications and equipment substitutions.
