Role Purpose: Shipping/Receiving crew is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of materials to support inventory and production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Load/Unload/Stage materials Document Materials Shipped/Received Maintain Organized Inventory of Materials Production
Skills:
Outlines employees’ ability to meet/exceed goals and task deadlines in an efficient and safe manner. Roles and Responsibilities of Coordinator: Walk work areas prior to shift Assess new/potential hazards Communicate with other department leads to avoid workflow conflicts. Outline tasks, priorities, and allotted time for each task Communicate goals, hazards, other important details to team in daily JSA meeting. Roles and Responsibilities of Shipping/Receiving Crew Given JSA briefing employees will gather all necessary tools and equipment to complete tasks. Crew members are expected to begin assigned tasks promptly following inspections and remain focused on assigned work unless redirected by a supervisor If supervisor requests a sub task be done, only requested individual(s) should move to said task and resume main responsibility once completed. Communicate issues and discrepancies with supervisor to eliminate unnecessary rework/man hours. If tasks have been completed and no further instructions have been provided by supervisor, team members should follow up to see what additional tasks can be completed. Attendance and Punctuality: Required to be at work and fit for duty at start of shift Breaks are to be taken at scheduled times unless directed otherwise by supervisor. Must be back on shop floor immediately following break buzzer. Quality Performance: Prior to loading/unloading ensures materials shipped/received are in good condition and accurate inventory is verified. All discrepancies should be documented and reported to supervisor immediately.
