| Primary Duties and Responsibilities: | The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Data Science in the College of Sciences and Mathematics at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2027. We are seeking a collaborative and student-centered candidate who is committed to excellence in teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, scholarship, and professional engagement. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate courses in computer science, with opportunities to contribute to graduate-level instruction as the department's graduate offerings may develop. Job responsibilities include advising and mentoring students in research and other course-related projects, designing and implementing innovative curriculum that meets the evolving needs of the field, and preparing students for the complexities of the modern workforce. Teaching assignments will be based on the candidate's expertise, departmental needs, and program priorities. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and college and university service as well as the duties listed below:

| Required Education | Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field. |
| Required Experience | 1-2 years of experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students. A strong research portfolio demonstrating expertise in one or more related areas, such as algorithms, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data science or operating and distributed systems is preferred. |
