Job Title: Quality Control Inspector-Vendor
Reports To: Supplier Quality Engineer

Location:
Manitowoc, WI Description / Scope / Mission Support facility operations to ensure all components used in manufacturing meet specification. Assist in identifying and resolving vendor quality issues. Document and communicate quality issues to production management and Lab Coordinator to improve vendor performance and personnel training.
Key Responsibilities
/ Accountabilities Conduct inspections on components used in production. Maintain master samples and component inspection files Formalize inspection files into controlled document database. Coordinate and/or conduct any testing necessary to qualify new components. Maintain SPC data files Process non-conforming product forms as necessary to document vendor quality issues Check and release certified raws off COA comparison. Perform other duties as required and requested by supervisor. MARGINAL JOB DUTIES: None. Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience High school diploma, HSED, or equivalent experience. Able to read, write and speak English language at the high school (12th Grade) level. Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook Trained on job. Must be self-motivated and initiate continuous improvement. Prior experience in a quality function is a plus. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: None. Specific Knowledge: (Technical/Product, Organizational and Interpersonal) Sit; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; taste or smell up to 1/3 of the time. Reach above shoulders; talk or hear 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or touch 2/3 and more of the time. Up to 25 pounds to be lifted or force exerted up to 2/3 and more of the time. Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus). TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED: Utility knife up to 1/3 of the time. Torque tester 1/3 of the time. Caliper 2/3 of the time. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED: Safety glasses and steel toe shoes required.
