Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in Cisco Routing and Switching (R&S) Network Design. The ideal candidate will have 7 10 years of experience in technical support roles, demonstrating expertise in network design, troubleshooting, and customer service. This contractor position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert level technical support for Cisco R&S network design and implementation.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and optimize network solutions.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Conduct training sessions for junior engineers and clients on Cisco R&S technologies.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and Cisco technologies to provide cutting edge solutions.
- Assist in the development of network design proposals and presentations for clients.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching (R&S) Network Design.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a timely manner.
- Experience with Cisco IOS, NX OS, and related networking protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with network security protocols and technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Knowledge of cloud networking solutions and virtualization technologies.
- Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 10 years of experience in technical support or network engineering roles.
- Proven track record of successful Cisco R&S network design and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
