Deputy Public Guardian
Range 56: $73,694 - $103,792 annually
Range 54T: $70,096 - $94,140 annually

Background Investigation: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, credit check, and/or medical exam, which may include drug and/or TB testing.
Work Location: Incumbents will be assigned to work at the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) located at 686 E. Mill St. San Bernardino, CA 92415-0647. Office location may change due to space and department operational needs. New office may be located in the East (San Bernardino/Colton) or West Valley (Fontana/Rancho Cucamonga).

| Deputy Public Guardian Applicants must meet one of the following: |
| Option A: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Behavioral or Social Science, or closely related field of study -AND- one (1) year of experience in a legal, fiscal, or law enforcement setting performing relatively complex duties which are non-routine in nature and require exercising independent decision making. |
| Option B: Possess an Associate's degree, or equivalent completed college coursework, in Public or Business Administration, Behavioral or Social Science or closely related field of study -AND- four (4) years of experience in a legal, fiscal, or law enforcement setting performing relatively complex duties which are non-routine in nature and require exercising independent decision making. |
Deputy Public Guardian Trainee Applicants must meet one of the following: |
| Option A: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration, Behavioral/Social Science, or closely related field of study. |
| Option B: Possess an Associate's degree, or equivalent completed college coursework, in Public/Business Administration, Behavioral/Social Science or closely related field of study-AND- three (3) years of experience in a legal, fiscal, or law enforcement setting performing relatively complex duties which are non-routine in nature and require exercising independent decision making. |
