PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Assembler in Owego, NY for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This 2nd-shift position will perform production assembly work on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. The assembler will work from drawings and diagrams, use hand and power tools, perform continuity checks, and support inspection, rework, and testing activities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and work from diagrams, drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Ability to use hand and/or power tools in a production environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive and non-repetitive electronic or mechanical assembly tasks.
- Ability to perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
- Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–1:30 AM.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies, including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Work from diagrams and drawings to complete production assembly operations.
- Create initial layouts and perform assembly using hand and power tools.
- Perform continuity checks on in-process and completed work.
- Support quality inspections in accordance with applicable specifications.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies as required.
- Test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and simulated operating conditions.
Work Schedule / Shift
- 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–1:30 AM.
Pay
- $18.00–$20.00 per hour
