Job Summary 
The Lead Therapist & Training Coordinator provides training coordination and clinical support to ensure compliance with ASAM, DMH, CARF, and other regulatory standards. This position assesses staff training needs, coordinates and develops training programs, supports Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) implementation and fidelity, and provides supervision to assigned staff. Up to half of the position may provide clinical services, including assessments, treatment planning, and therapy.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for scheduling and caseload assignment for Associate Therapists and Counselors assigned to their team.
  • Coordinate and oversee behavioral health training to ensure compliance with licensure, accreditation, and contractual requirements.
  • Assess staff and community training needs and develop or coordinate appropriate training opportunities and resources.
  • Provide clinical training, consultation, mentoring, and supervision to assigned staff.
  • Support the implementation and fidelity of Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs), including conducting annual fidelity reviews and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in agency, community, and provider meetings to identify training needs and strengthen community partnerships.
  • Coordinate EBP and other large-scale trainings, including working with internal and external trainers and consultants.
  • Assist with the development of grants, funding opportunities, training programs, and other projects as requested.
  • Participate in audits, reviews, and accreditation activities to support organizational compliance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of EBPs and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Represent ARCA in community meetings, committees, and other professional settings as assigned.
  • Provide licensure supervision, intake and annual assessments, treatment planning, and therapy as assigned.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to assigned staff and address employee concerns in collaboration with Human Resources as needed.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Skills / Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • LCSW or LPC license.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in program management and clinical supervision.
  • Experience with Evidence-Based Practices, clinical training, consultation, and staff supervision.
  • Experience with clinical documentation using electronic health records (EHR) and conducting ASAM assessments and co-occurring diagnostic interviews.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and ability to provide supportive feedback.
  • Strong organizational, project management, written, and verbal communication skills.

Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass required criminal background checks or obtain and provide an approved exemption letter from the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) prior to employment.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based at ARCA's downtown location, 1430 Olive St., St. Louis, Missouri 63103.; some travel to ARCA's alternate sites, community meetings, and trainings are required
  • Occasional job-related meetings out of town required
