Description:
At Client, our Digital Experience Design team creates digital experiences that make it easier for customers to discover, understand, and choose the entertainment solutions that are right for them. We bring together human-centered design, strong visual storytelling, and scalable systems to create experiences that work for both our customers and our business.
We’re looking for a contract UX Designer to help shape the next evolution of Client for Business—our B2B digital acquisition experience.
This is a hands-on role for a designer who pairs strong visual craft with practical UX thinking. You’ll own much of the day-to-day design of the Client for Business site, creating compelling merchandising experiences while helping evolve an established digital ecosystem.
And you’ll be joining at an interesting moment.
As we explore bringing a new dark-mode design expression to the Business experience, you’ll have an opportunity to help set the visual tone, evolve our component system, and influence how a major entertainment brand shows up for business customers.
You won’t be starting from a blank canvas. You’ll work within established design and development patterns—but we want someone who can recognize where those patterns can be better.
What You’ll Do
·       Own design for Client for Business digital merchandising and acquisition experiences, from early concepts and wireframes through polished, production-ready designs.
·       Translate complex products, offers, and business requirements into experiences that feel clear, compelling, and easy to navigate.
·       Help evolve the Business site toward a new dark-mode design expression, contributing ideas, patterns, and component enhancements along the way.
·       Create polished layouts and web-ready assets with strong attention to hierarchy, composition, typography, imagery, and interaction.
·       Work confidently within an established Figma design system, while identifying opportunities to extend and improve components when the experience calls for it.
·       Build and modify robust Figma components using properties, variants, variables, auto layout, and other scalable design-system practices.
·       Partner closely with a producer, business owner, developers, and the broader Experience Design team to move work from idea to launch.
·       Deliver thoughtful, developer-ready designs and specifications with precision and consistency.
·       Apply UX and accessibility best practices, including WCAG standards, throughout the design process.
·       Use research, testing, analytics, and A/B testing insights to continuously improve experiences.
·       Communicate your thinking clearly—explaining not just what you designed, but why.
·       Balance creative ambition with real-world timelines. We value designers who can push the experience forward and ship the work.
What You Bring
You’re a versatile digital designer who cares equally about how an experience works and how it feels.
You can take ownership of an assignment, navigate ambiguity, make thoughtful design decisions independently, and recognize when collaboration will make the work stronger. You’re comfortable working quickly without sacrificing craft, and you bring curiosity and creative problem-solving to challenges that may not always arrive with an obvious solution.
Ideally, you bring:
·       Experience designing customer-facing web experiences, particularly merchandising, commerce, acquisition, or marketing experiences.
·       A strong foundation in UX, interaction design, information hierarchy, and usability.
·       Excellent visual design skills and a sharp eye for composition, typography, imagery, spacing, and detail.
·       Strong production-design skills and experience preparing digital assets for the web.
·       Advanced proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, components, variants, component properties, variables, and libraries.
·       Experience working within—and ideally contributing to—established design systems.
·       Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
·       An understanding of responsive web design and the realities of designing for production.
·       The ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and delivery timelines.
·       Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
We don’t expect one designer to do everything, but we’d be especially interested if you bring experience with:
·       Motion design, animation, After Effects, or video.
·       User testing and A/B testing.
·       Content design or strong UX writing instincts.
·       B2B digital experiences.
·       E-commerce or subscription-based products.
·       Creating or evolving component libraries and design systems.
AI + Emerging Tools
We’re curious about how emerging tools can make designers more capable—not replace good design thinking.
Experience using AI within your creative workflow is a plus, whether that means generating or refining imagery, accelerating production work, exploring concepts, prototyping, or finding smarter ways to solve everyday design problems.
Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Google Gemini, Claude, or Figma’s AI capabilities is welcome, as is an interest in experimenting with what comes next.
What We’d Like to See
A portfolio is required.
We’re particularly interested in seeing:
1.       Exceptional visual craft — polished digital work that demonstrates a strong eye for design.
2.       UX thinking — evidence that you understand the problem behind the interface and can make thoughtful experience decisions.
3.       Design systems — examples of working with, extending, or creating reusable components and patterns.
4.       Commerce or B2B experience — helpful, but not required.
Beautiful work will get our attention. Thoughtful decisions behind that work will make us want to talk to you.
Why This Role
This is a small team, which means your work won’t disappear into a large design organization.
You’ll be the primary designer focused on Client for Business, with significant ownership over the experience and opportunities to collaborate with the broader consumer design team. You’ll join at a point when the visual language of the Business site is ready to evolve—and you’ll have a meaningful hand in defining where it goes next.
It’s an opportunity to take something established and make it considerably better: refining the experience, strengthening the system behind it, and bringing new creative energy to how Client serves its business customers.
