Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or a related field required. Professional procurement certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within a reasonable period of employment. Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, contract administration, or supplier management, preferably within higher education. Demonstrated experience leading procurement operations, contract administration, and vendor relationship management programs. Experience with negotiation and management of construction contracts and construction related equipment and supplies. Proven success in negotiating complex contractual agreements and developing strategic supplier partnerships. Experience developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls. Strong knowledge of competitive bidding processes, contract management practices, and regulatory compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively partner with a diverse campus community and senior leadership. Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with financial and enterprise systems, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. This position requires a flexible work schedule, including early mornings, late evenings and/or occasional weekends to support extended student services.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related discipline strongly preferred. Experience with Banner or a comparable ERP system preferred. Experience with electronic contract management platforms preferred. Experience with eProcurement and automated purchasing systems preferred.
