Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Housing Program Manager. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, exempt position. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning and administering local and affordable housing programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Housing Program Manager will oversee and coordinate various housing initiatives and projects to provide residents with access to safe, affordable, and sustainable housing options.
Examples of work:
- Lead the implementation of the McCall Housing Action Plan.
- Administer City of McCall’s Local Housing Deed Restriction program.
- Oversee and supervise the city employee housing portfolio, including oversight/quality control of property manager(s), lease agreements, and maintenance issues (including current city-owned unit and other units the city may acquire.
- Work with the development community to facilitate local housing units and their development.
- Develop, implement, and manage housing programs and initiatives to address the housing needs of McCall residents.
- Collaborate with local agencies, nonprofits, and stakeholders to coordinate resources and support for affordable and local housing projects.
- Update the data in the housing needs assessments for the City of McCall as needed.
- Develop and administer housing-related policies, regulations, resources, and webpages.
- Provide guidance and support to residents seeking housing assistance and act as a local housing point of contact.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to housing programs, initiatives and projects.
- Prepare materials and make public presentations on housing-related matters to the City Council, other agencies, community groups and stakeholders.
- Consistently maintain knowledge of current legislation which may impact housing, new regulations and trends in the housing field.
- Develop and manage the McCall Housing Authority when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in housing policy and/or program related roles.
- Familiarity with public sector or non-profit housing programs, regulations, and policies.
- Extensive understanding of housing market trends and challenges.
Or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the described work.
Additional Position Requirement or Special Qualification:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Relevant certifications preferred, for example AICP.
- The selected candidate must be able to pass a background check.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this opportunity is $76,752 to $109,762 per year; the hiring salary will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant.
