ABOUT LE PETIT PALI LAGUNA BEACH

Perched on Laguna Beach's famed Coast Highway at the southern end of the town's winding oceanside route, Le Petit Pali Laguna Beach is a two-story hideaway with 41 king and suite rooms, an intimate guest lobby and bar, and a sparkling pool area nestled among soaring palm trees, all just steps from Treasure Island Beach and Goff Cove, two of the area's most revered beachfront destinations.

POSITION PROFILE

Facility Maintenance is a hands-on problem solver who keeps Le Petit Pali Laguna Beach running safely and smoothly — from patching walls to troubleshooting HVAC. You'll balance day-to-day fixes with proactive maintenance, keeping the property guest-ready and code-compliant, all while treating guests in a warm and friendly manner.

THE TASK AT HAND

• Conduct ongoing room and property inspections to identify and address repair needs.

• Perform general repairs — drywall, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and furniture fixes.

• Install, replace, and program guest room televisions.

• Repair and maintain heating/cooling units and water lines, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.

• Maintain accurate repair and preventative maintenance records, adhering to all local, state, and federal codes.

• Practice safe work habits, complying with MSDS and OSHA standards.

• Support the operations team as a Houseperson during staffing shortages or peak check-in/out periods.

• Work a flexible schedule based on hotel occupancy and emergency repair needs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• 2+ years of experience in a maintenance\engineering role.

• Working knowledge of AC systems and refrigeration, comfortable using skilled machinist equipment (lathes, drill presses, power saws, mills).

Preferred

• Professional skilled trade licensing in plumbing and electrical.

Physical

• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor temperatures and in proximity to moving mechanical parts, electric currents, heights, heat, and chemicals.

• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch in tight, restricted spaces.

• Able to lift up to 40lbs.

• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
