Job Title: Albert Schweitzer Institute Communications Intern
Department: College of Arts and Sciences 
Student Employment Type: Federal Work Study 
Responsibilities:
  • Work with Faculty Director to promote the Institute via existing social media platforms
  • Develop social media content and campaigns for Institute sponsored initiatives
  • Work with Faculty Director to advertise and promote Institute programs and opportunities on campus
  • Assist the Faculty Director in representing the Institute at Open Houses, events, and other outreach opportunities
  • Provide event support as needed (e.g. speaker events, film screenings, etc.)
  • Additional opportunities and responsibilities for communication and media-based projects pending student interest/ability and Institute need
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take responsibility for projects
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong writing and organizational skills
  • Experience working with digital audio and video editing programs
  • Experience with online design tools (e.g. Canva)
  • Experience with social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
Hours of Position:
  • To be determined with supervisor
