Oracle DBA (Database Migration & DMS Specialist)
Client Location –– Houston, TX USA
Work Mode – Hybrid – 3 days Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Administer monitor and maintain Oracle databases in production and nonproduction environments
Perform database installation configuration patching upgrades backup and recovery activities
Manage Oracle RAC ASM Data Guard RMAN and performance tuning initiatives
Plan and execute database migration projects using Oracle Database Migration Service DMS Oracle GoldenGate Data Pump RMAN and related migration tools
Assess source and target environments define migration strategies perform cutover planning and mitigate migration risks
Troubleshoot migration issues validate data consistency and ensure minimal downtime during cutovers
Implement HADR solutions and support business continuity requirements
Maintain migration runbooks operational procedures and technical documentation
Required Skills
Strong Oracle DBA administration experience 11g12c19c21c
Expertise in Oracle RAC ASM Data Guard RMAN OEM and SQL performance tuning
Handson experience with Oracle DMS Database Migration Service and Oracle database migrations
Experience with OCI Exadata ExaCC or cloud migration projects
Knowledge of GoldenGate replication and zerominimal downtime migration strategies
Strong troubleshooting scripting ShellSQLPLSQL and automation skills
Experience supporting critical production environments
Preferred Skills
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI certification
Experience with crossplatform migrations and database modernization initiatives
Exposure to AWS RDS for Oracle or Azure Oracle workloads
