Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

A challenging and rewarding position is available for a Registered Nurse in a busy telemetry unit. The role will require flexibility in scheduling, including weekend and holiday shifts. Candidates must be willing to float to similar units as needed.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)

Unit Information

• Unit: 25 Tower - Transplant
• Unit Type: Telemetry
• Beds: 28
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Common Diagnoses: Single and multi-organ transplant, LVAD patients

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar environment
• Preferred Experience: 3+ years and previous travel experience
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • ACLS Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • NIHSS Certification

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions using advanced assessment techniques, including dopplers for MAPP.
• Administer medications and IV drips as ordered (no titration required).
• Read telemetry strips, with support from telemetry/monitor techs.
• Participate in patient care team activities and communicate effectively with all members.
• Carry out duties as assigned, including floating to like units as needed.
