Pay Rate: 24.24 - $49.04/Hour DOE
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 7 Months
Responsibilities:
- Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including operating procedures, maintenance manuals, standards, work instructions, training materials, and engineering documents.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, operations personnel, and project teams to gather technical information and convert complex concepts into user-friendly documentation.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Review and revise existing documents for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Support document control processes, version management, and change management activities.
- Create and maintain documentation that supports operational excellence, safety, reliability, and compliance initiatives.
- Participate in technical reviews and facilitate document approval workflows.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the petrochemical, refining, or related industrial manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 6 years of demonstrated technical writing experience supporting engineering, operations, maintenance, or capital project environments.
- Minimum 6 years of manufacturing experience with hands-on knowledge of industrial equipment and process operations, including pumps, valves, reactors, distillation/stack columns, heat exchangers, and related process unit equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of refinery and petrochemical process units, equipment systems, operating procedures, and industry terminology.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven ability to gather information from subject matter experts and translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation.
- Experience developing and maintaining operating procedures, maintenance procedures, work instructions, technical manuals, engineering documents, and training materials.
- Strong editing, proofreading, document control, and document management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality documentation within established deadlines.
