Pipefitter Helpers

ROLE SUMMARY: 

Assist Pipe Fitter/Welders in the assembling and installation of HVAC piping and equipment and other related tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Install hangers and brackets used for equipment and pipe installation.
2. Perform general labor including cleanup that is required for pipe or equipment installation.
3. Retrieve fittings, pipe or other material from storage.
4. Grind, brush and help prepare welds for welder.
5. Clean up work area.
6. Make sure tools are locked up at end of workday.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

• Good communication and organizational skills.
• General knowledge of hand tools.
• Ability to follow specific directions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  (The minimum requirements for the role are specified and are necessary to succeed in the role’s application of tasks)

• Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar;
• Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., must have dexterity of fingers (or mechanical substitutions).
