Role: System Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Duration: contract

Responsibilities:

Design and deploy infrastructure compute resources utilizing the AWS stack (Including EC2, Route53, S3, Lambda, etc.) to build scalable, secure, and robust cloud solutions
Design, deploy and administer Microsoft Windows server OS versions (2016 through 2025) and/or Azure compute services
Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Entra and Microsoft AD/Domain administration
Experience implementing, supporting Microsoft Remote Desktop services web environment
Create and implement automation processes and standards for Microsoft and AWS cloud services
Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and security standards
Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security
Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation
Participate in the creation of new policies and procedures for cloud service use and compliance
Monitor infrastructure, systems operations, and critical application services. Provide reporting and metrics

Qualifications:

Strong organization, analytical, and decision-making skills
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role in software development.
Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
Proficiency with Linux/Unix (Centos, RedHat), Microsoft Windows server (2016 through 2025) systems administration, both on-prem and in a cloud environment.
Install, configure, test, and maintain Windows operating systems, application software, and system management tools
Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the cloud.
AWS Certification preferred (AWS Certified: SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
Proficient in scripting languages such as Microsoft PowerShell or Python
Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP and OSI network layers
7+ years of related experience
BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field, willing to entertain experience in lieu of formal education
