Schedule: 4x10 Days, with shifts running from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will work within a community hospital setting providing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The position involves circulating and scrubbing for a range of cases including ENT, General Surgery, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, and Plastic surgeries. Proficiency in the Epic charting system is essential due to its integration in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub in the operating room for various types of surgeries.
- Manage patient safety and care pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and effective surgical processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the Epic system.
- Participate in on-call rotations and cover weekend shifts as required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical setting.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current ACLS and BLSS certifications are required.
- Must have an active compact nursing license at the time of submission.
