Job Description:
Basic Function: Reporting to the Supervisor HVAC/R, the HVAC/R Technician is responsible for providing a safe and productive environment for all students, faculty and staff. The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for all phases of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including all related systems and other duties as assigned. The HVAC/R Technician will use computers (Building Management Systems) to maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment for malfunction and will perform routine maintenance on all of these systems. The HVAC/R Technician performs work adhering to Facilities Management departmental standards, the Massachusetts Building Code and best practices, procedures and techniques of the HVAC/R trade. The HVAC/R Technician performs work from work orders and at the direction of the HVAC/R Supervisor and/or his/her designee. Major Responsibilities: General HVAC and facility maintenance.
