Compensation: $21.97-$23.78 per hour (based on experience)

A Day in the Life of a Behavior Specialist
- Start your day by connecting with students and supporting a positive, structured environment.
- Work directly with youth who may be experiencing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to help students successfully navigate difficult situations.
- Collaborate with clinical, educational, and residential teams to promote student success.
- Implement individualized behavior plans and reinforce positive behaviors throughout the day.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and encouragement to help students develop healthy coping skills.
- Monitor student progress and communicate important updates with team members and supervisors.
- Assist with transitions between activities, ensuring consistency and structure throughout the day.
- End your day knowing you've helped students build confidence, develop new skills, and move closer to their goals.

What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong therapeutic behavior management skills
- Ability to safely perform physical interventions when necessary to ensure the safety of students and staff
- One year of experience in human services, education, behavioral health, or a related field preferred but not required
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations
- Basic computer and documentation skills
What You'll Do
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support for youth and adolescents in residential and educational settings
- Implement individualized behavior plans and support strategies
- Provide constructive feedback and consultation to teachers, clinicians, and residential staff
- Serve as the Residential Supervisor's designee when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and behavioral records
- Review daily logs, clinical notes, and incident reports to ensure continuity of care
- Monitor and maintain staff offices, common areas, timeout spaces, and restricted-item storage areas
- Assist students with residential routines and daily activities
- Collaborate with Residential Supervisors and interdisciplinary teams on programming, logistics, and student support plans
- Support smooth transitions between activities and daily schedules
- Promote positive, non-threatening behavior management techniques and interventions
- Respond to emergencies and other duties as assigned
