QA Automation Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL – Onsite
Duration: 12+ Months
Experience: 8–12 Years
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, UI/API testing, and automation framework enhancement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright, Python, Cucumber BDD, Selenium, Java, REST API, and DB2 testing.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites.

Build automation scripts for web UI, APIs, and backend validation.

Enhance and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Python, Java, and Cucumber BDD.

Develop test strategies, scenarios, test data, and contingency plans.

Plan and execute test cases, manage defects, and provide test status and release sign-offs.

Perform REST API functional, regression, and integration testing.

Conduct database testing, including SQL validation and data reconciliation.

Validate batch jobs, file/data handoffs, and end-to-end workflows.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies as a quality advocate.

Identify and resolve defects early in the development lifecycle.

Work with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, and Bitbucket Pipelines.

Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Teams, and stakeholders.
Required Skills

8–12 years of QA/Test Automation experience.

Strong Playwright automation experience.

Strong Python and/or Java programming skills.

Hands-on Selenium experience.

Strong Cucumber BDD experience.
-
REST API automation and testing.

DB2/database testing experience.
-
Automation framework enhancement and maintenance.
-
UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Strong defect management and test reporting skills.

Experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools.
