We are seeking a System Administrator 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for design, implementation, operations & maintenance, and cybersecurity for large complex resilient hardware and virtualized infrastructure to ensure implemented solutions meet stakeholder needs, standards, and performance requirements. Responsibilities Monitor, maintain, and test Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM, and other electronic security systems. Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems in support of endpoint devices. Provide Tier 1 help?desk support. Provide on?site support at a single work location in the Washington D.C. area. Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers; demonstrate punctuality, attendance, willingness to learn, and teamwork. Assist end users in accessing and using IT systems. Answer help?desk phone calls; triage initial calls and determine escalation. Document help?desk calls and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system. Monitor enterprise?system status for problems such as network outages or degraded services; notify senior administrators when required. Support daily operations, including monitoring and reviewing system logs. Support configuration and management of Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software. Support desktop hardware and operating?system set?up, imaging software loading, and antivirus updates. Support execution of IAVA updates and patching to ensure compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards. Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to Windows?based operating systems (servers and workstations). Install, configure, and maintain third?party applications. Perform root?cause analysis on significant issues at the appropriate level of support. Support preventive?maintenance actionsincluding system backups, error?log reviews, database?size analysis, and integrity checks. Stay current with technological developments and recommend ways to leverage new and emerging technology. Contribute to technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOP) and builds for both technical and non?technical audiences. Perform all duties under direct supervision. Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. ACTIVE DoD TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required. Education: Associates Degree and 4+ years of progressive experience High?school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of progressive experience System administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions. Demonstrated understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation. Basic knowledge of large?scale networking, VLANs, and routing. Reliable attendance at customer site during required working hours. Ability to work flexible shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum of IAT Level?II certification (e.g., Security+). Background working in multidisciplinary teams. Time?management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives. Proficiency with MS?Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
