Phlebotomist (PT Bronx) We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team on a part-time basis in the Bronx. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of recent phlebotomy experience, be proficient with straight needles, and possess strong communication skills. The ability to speak both Spanish and English is essential. Responsibilities: Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and update patient information. Collect and store specimens according to established procedures. Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures, such as urine or fecal collection. Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders. Verify all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy. Package specimens for transport. Store specimen samples at the required temperature, place samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, and accurately label them. Job Type & Location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Bronx, NY. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
