In this role, you'll support our dining room by assisting with meal service, keeping the kitchen and dish area clean, and ensuring a bright, comfortable environment for our residents. If you take pride in good service, enjoy working in a friendly atmosphere, and want to be part of a mission-driven community, this is a great opportunity for you This is an on-site Dishwasher/Server position located in Shrewsbury, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cold bar items, serving and assisting priests in the dining room, and washing dishes on a rotating schedule. They will keep the kitchen and dining room safe, sanitary, and well-organized. They will ensure that food served is of high quality and service is provided with compassion, patience, and respect. A list of specific tasks and responsibilities can be provided during the interview process. Schedule: The schedule will vary slightly based upon team need and your availability. Shifts are 10 hours: 7:00 am2 pm and 4 pm7:00 pm. Meals are served 3 times a day, 7 days per week. Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years old Skills and Attitudes Needed for Success: Food Handler Certification a plus Prior food preparation experience, preferably in a commercial setting Knowledge of food preparation and presentation Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines Ability to follow recipes and par levels and work independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible schedule and availability Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to be gentle and compassionate in communicating with retired priests Provide excellent customer service, especially during mealtimes Work well with executive chef, kitchen team, administrator, and other team members at Regina Cleri Community The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
