What Makes a McKibbon Restaurant General Manager? As a key member of the leadership team, the Restaurant General Manager is accountable for creating elevated service and experience at our Waving Girl rooftop restaurant and overseeing our Bluestone lane caf and banquet operations. The Restaurant General Manager is committed to guest satisfaction and providing great experiences for all guests. Responsibilities Lead Food & Beverage operations to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction. Lead Waving Girl rooftop restaurant as a working manager driving excellence in our rooftop restaurant daily. Oversee operations in our Bluestone Lane Caf and assisting directing these teams to be successful under your leadership. Move throughout the facility and monitor the action of food prep and serving areas to ensure that associates meet food and beverage quality, brand, and service standards. Monitor food preparation and service areas to uphold brand, quality, and service standards. Plan and implement effective orientation and training programs for new hires and professional development for existing staff. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage elements impacting restaurant and banquet profitability, including menu development, food costs, and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, energy management, and preventive maintenance standards. Work with the Corporate Food & Beverage team to plan menus, craft cocktails, and product pricing while maintaining budget guidelines. Assist in operations at the Franchise Bluestone Lane Cafe, ensuring Franchisee standards and assisting restaurant manager to achieve both service and financial goals. Coordinate with the corporate and hotel sales teams to develop marketing and sales promotions. Oversee administrative duties such as tracking expenses, maintaining profitability, and invoice management in collaboration with the Hotel General Manager and corporate food and beverage team. Establish quality and output standards for department personnel. Implement training programs in coordination with Corporate Food & Beverage to ensure consistency. Implement policies and procedures for the restaurant. Plan and approve staffing, scheduling based on operational needs for all outlets. Maintain inventory, budgeting, food costs, labor costs, and invoice coding for financial analysis and reconciliation. Generate and analyze business volume forecasts to optimize planning. Build and maintain long-term vendor partnerships to secure high-quality, cost-effective products. Perform other duties as assigned by hotel general manager. Requirements An associate or bachelors Degree 5 years minimum experience in a beverage/food outlet in a managerial role Extensive knowledge and experience of the restaurant industry, industry trends, facilities, and equipment. Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. Experience in banquet operations Ability to work various shifts based on need and level of business. Strong leadership and communication skills. Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. The ability and drive to personify our culture in every interaction with guests and associates The ability to manage, train and develop 15 plus associates. The ability to deliver on the quality of service that guests deserve and expect Serv safe Manager and Alcohol certified. The ability to work a varied schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and special events Physical Requirements Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to endure long periods of standing, sitting and walking. The ability to execute inventory control and calculation for monthly analysis and reconciliation Keeping up-to-date with local events and tailoring our Waving Girl restaurant and our Bluestone Lane cafe to enhance guests experience in the local community. Ability to create unique and localized experiences based on seasonal and local events. The ability to familiarize oneself with Company Health and Safety Policies and ensure your areas promote and comply with them.
