This role supports a Navycustomer in Lexington Park, MD. Job Description and Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Basic Requirements A mid-level candidate has 3 or more years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a BA/BS degree in a relevant subject or discipline for the position. A senior has at least 10 years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a MA/MS degree in a relevant subject or discipline for the position. VMware administration experience, Windows Server Administration, and ACAS. Education Requirements Bachelors or Masters dependent upon level. Substitutions include Associates Degree plus 2 years additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree. High school diploma or GED and/or a relevant technical certification plus 4 years additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree. Bachelors Degree plus 5 years additional work experience may be substituted for a Masters Degree.
