We want your knowledge and expertise This position exists for the collection of blood from all patients utilizing venipuncture and capillary equipment such as vacutainers, lancets, syringes, microtainers, and other blood collection devices. When necessary, performs glucose testing using glucometer after orientation and demonstration of competency. Determines priority on patient care and completes work within appropriate time frame. Delegates work appropriately to job classification with clear concise directions. Ensures accuracy & completeness of work performed. Follows hospital policy and procedure in performing job functions, skills and tasks. Willing to adjust personal schedule in cases of workload fluctuations or other departmental needs. When the assigned work is complete, it seeks additional tasks to be done. Perform well in stress and emergency situations, demonstrating effective coping skills. Follows through with assignments and informs supervisor if unable to complete task. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
