Business Analyst Data & Analytics Duration: 612 months (Contract) Location: Hybrid, 1-2 days onsite (Hawai'i-based candidates preferred) We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead requirement gathering and process documentation for a critical analytics and software initiative. This role will focus on supporting Independent Power Producers (IPPs) through a Databricks-centric solution for Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) calculations and enhancing systems related to Invoice Management. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in data and analytics projects, with hands-on familiarity in Azure and Databricks environments. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and document requirements. Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development and data engineering teams. Ensure solution alignment with Azure and Databricks architecture. Create and manage backlog items, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing requirements. Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and solution walkthroughs. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery. Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Support change management and training efforts for new analytics solutions. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development or data/analytics projects (application development experience preferred). Hands-on knowledge of data platforms, especially Azure and/or Databricks. Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, BI/reporting tools, and analytics workflows. Demonstrated ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or ServiceNow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
