Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Ultimate Staffing Position Overview Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our client in Scotts Valley, CA, a leading company that designs and manufactures real-time network-based machine and process controllers. Located in California, They are an employee-owned company with a collaborative environment and a small company feel. The Applications Engineer will serve as the technical point of contact for DDI customers, providing pre-sale consultation and post-sale technical support. Responsibilities Define DDI solutions from application requirements gathered through consultation with customers. Develop and present technical proposals to customers. Work with the DDI engineering team to fulfill customer requirements for new and custom products and features. Capture and communicate customer requests for new features and products. Facilitate customer adoption of DDI technology through product training and technical support in both remote and onsite settings. Contribute to creating and managing support resources, including product manuals, application notes, training materials, and software examples. Support DDI participation at trade shows, conferences, and seminars. Requirements BS or MS degree in engineering with five years of industrial automation experience involving I/O controllers, motion control, and functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, EN ISO 13849-1) in technical, customer-facing roles. Experience with electrical schematic and PCB design documents, PCB design process, and commissioning and troubleshooting electrical systems. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint), CAD environments, and Windows and Linux operating systems. Proficiency in software programming languages such as C/C++, C#, and Python. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including technical writing and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and time management with a team approach. Self-starter with an aptitude for continuous learning and a results-driven personality. Moderate travel is required. Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, during standard business hours. Benefits Profit Sharing Additional Details The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000 per year.
