Forklift Operator in Shipping/Team Lead

Forklift Operator 2nd shift Leadership Opportunity Shoreline Container Holland Rate: $23.00 + .50 cent shift premium ($23.50) Role Summary: Works under the limited supervision of the Logistics Manager. Provides excellent customer service through the coordination of finished goods and shipping activities to assure customer satisfaction is completed in a timely fashion and remains cost effective. Ability to fill in as the Back up Team Lead when the leader is away. This position will help further your leadership skills and establish a long successful career at Shoreline. What Youll Do Coordinate all shipping activities for finished goods to assure customer satisfaction and strive for 100% on-time delivery. Prepare and implement delivery schedules for shipping material handlers. Coordinate, complete and file necessary paperwork for shipping activities. Required to operate powered industrial equipment (hilo). May occasionally deliver finished goods to customers. Daily interaction with Customer Service and manufacturing departments. Assure excellent housekeeping is maintained in the shipping and finished goods warehouse. Support and adhere to internal quality and safety programs. Work Environment The job is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, varying temperatures, and moving mechanical parts. Safety gear must be worn as required. What Youll Need High School Diploma. Minimum 3?5 years logistics experience (preferably in the corrugated industry). Must possess a valid drivers license and powered industrial equipment (hilo) certification. Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills. Ability to maintain diplomacy, confidentiality and tact; essential for access to high?level employee, cost, design and company?sensitive materials. Must be able to work with frequently changing priorities. Physical Demands Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The employee must regularly lift, push or pull and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
