The Role: Xylem is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to design and guide the evolution of our enterprise-wide data architecture across both legacy and modern cloud platforms. In this role, you'll define scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that enable advanced analytics, reporting, and AI/ML capabilities across the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure that data is managed as a strategic assetsupporting Xylem's mission of solving water through digital innovation. Core Responsibilities: Enterprise Data Architecture Design Collaboration Across Architecture and Business Domains Governance, Standards, and Lifecycle Management Cloud & Platform Enablement Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred). 10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture across both legacy and cloud-native environments. Expertise across: SAP, Databricks, CRM Platforms, Legacy BI & DBMS, Azure Data Services. Technical Proficiencies: Integration Patterns: Batch, streaming, APIs, OData, SAP connectors, JDBC/ODBC, REST Modeling Techniques: Dimensional, normalized, data vault, star/snowflake schema Architecture Domains: OLTP/OLAP systems, MDM, data virtualization Security & Compliance: RBAC, encryption, data masking, GDPR, HIPAA DevOps & Automation: GitHub, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines for data deployment Observability: Azure Monitor, Databricks observability, lineage tracking Preferred Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate SAP Certified Technology Specialist (Datasphere, HANA) Databricks Certified Architect TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification What Success Looks Like: - Clear, consistent data architecture blueprints spanning multiple systems and platforms. - Seamless collaboration with Solution Architects and IT leaders across domains. - Trusted partnerships with business and IT stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making. - Accelerated modernization through scalable, secure, and integrated architectures.
