Job Purpose The Forklift Operator will be responsible for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction through the pulling/picking/shipping/piling of finished ambient goods. This motivated individual will be in a role that will affect all reaches within the VDF/FC organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following. Other Duties May Be Assigned. Primary responsibilities include: Ability to work in varying temperature environments Organize paperwork (i.e. pick tickets, shipping manifests, shipping labels) Ability to operate pallet jack, forklift and ERP scanners Pull product per pick ticket Pile items within the warehouse as directed Daily receipt and loading of product to/from Straight-trucks, Tractor-trailers or overseas containers Cycle counting/on demand inventory counting Clean up of the warehouse area Responsible for the proper receipt, pulling, piling and organization of finished goods Ship product out via preferred carrier (UPS/FedEx/common) for all customer routed finished goods Additional duties as required Qualifications-Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications-Required and Preferred Skills Required skills: Ability to follow instructions set forth from daily requests Developed listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Organizational and detail skills. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Must be a problem-solver with the ability to use good judge Experience within shipment portals Ability to drive a forklift Ability to lift 50lbs Skills not required but preferred: Experience with ERP/WMS Computer Skills: Basic Computer skills Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
