Installation Project Manager Midwest Alarm Services is a leading life safety company dedicated to providing top?notch fire alarm and life safety solutions across multiple locations. Overview Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, Midwest Alarm Services has 15 locations throughout the Midwest and is one of the largest Notifier distributors in North America. We design and implement reliable life safety solutions for contractors, building owners, property managers, and facilities directors. Responsibilities Project Management Develop project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion within budget. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders for smooth execution. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and provide guidance to technicians. Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders. Perform Fire Marshal/AHJ walk?throughs as required. Team Management Supervise and lead a team of installation technicians. Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and provide ongoing coaching. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project updates and foster collaboration. Schedule technician resources to optimize productivity and meet deadlines. Engineering Drawings Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure accurate system designs. Verify installations adhere to approved plans and regulatory standards. Provide technical support and guidance during installation and troubleshooting. Inventory Management Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source equipment and track deliveries. Monitor equipment warranties and manage returns and replacements. Quality Assurance Define and enforce quality standards for alarm system installations. Collaborate with the testing and commissioning team to verify system functionality. Risk Management Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor and address project issues, escalating to senior management. Implement change management processes to manage scope changes. Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular project updates and keep clients informed of progress. Foster long?term client relationships by exceeding expectations. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred). Will attain all licenses and NICET II within 1 year of employment. Proven experience as a Project Manager in the fire protection or construction industry. In?depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, NFPA, IBC, and related codes. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. Proficient with engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent organizational and time?management abilities. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
