Job Summary: As a hybrid QA Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing, working closely with product managers and developers to define and execute test strategies. Your deep understanding of software development life cycles and a keen eye for detail will be essential in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and collaboratively to maintain and improve our high standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionalities. Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, usability, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Perform exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and usability testing across web, mobile, and/or desktop applications. Bug Management & Reporting: Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking systems. Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and resolve defects in a timely manner. Provide clear, concise, and detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, and relevant logs. Process Improvement: Provide input on testability, design, and product features during all phases of the software development lifecycle. Participate in requirement reviews, design meetings, and sprint retrospectives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process, methodologies, and tools. Communication & Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between the development, product, and business teams to ensure a shared understanding of quality goals. Clearly communicate the status of testing, risks, and challenges to Team head & stakeholders Mentor junior QA team members and share best practices. Required Qualifications: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience as a Manual QA Engineer in a professional software development environment. Proven experience in creating and executing detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with bug-tracking systems (e.g., Xray, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar). Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., Qase, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar). Proficiency in testing web and/or mobile applications (iOS and Android). Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or similar is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A proactive and collaborative attitude with a passion for quality. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points): Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Insomnia. Familiarity with database testing using SQL queries. Understanding of agile/scrum methodologies. Experience with performance or security testing. Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
