Description $1,000.00 HIRING BONUS We are Weyerhaeuser Distribution, a building products company. We're located in the Concord area, next to Harrisburg, behind the motor speedway. Our daily goal is to deliver wood products safely to our customers. We start with different wood products from our mills, then we cut them down to size and move the product to our customers. We take great pride in servicing our customers in a safe and team-based environment. The primary activities in our operations department include unloading railcars/trucks of building materials, cycle counting, storing materials, breaking full units down into custom orders, and loading outbound trucks. We are looking to hire talented people that are interested in getting trained in our business. These are NOT temp positions, these are direct hire positions with benefits, for anyone wanting a career. We currently have an opening for a Forklift Ops Associate. This role will be performed on the evening shift and require regular movement throughout the day, which means regular periods of standing, sitting, walking, and sliding/moving up to 100 pounds, and even driving heavy equipment outdoors in all types of weather. With the direction of the Site Manager, this role will focus on safely moving our product for our customers. We want talented people with at least a high school diploma, that have a drive to perform and a commitment to safety. From there, we will safely train them to pick and pull orders and operate a forklift to efficiently load and move products for our customers. The hourly pay rate is $18.50-$21.50 based on experience and will start at $18.50 per hour. The shift would start at 5:00 PM and will end at 2:00 AM. There is room for some overtime, and you can also drive your base pay rate higher, as you master more and more skills. Medical, dental, evening differential, and gainsharing benefits will also apply for all eligible employees. This role offers a $1,000 hiring bonus, paid after 90 days of successful employment with Weyerhaeuser (Successful employment includes but is not limited to-no disciplinary actions and attendance issues). You will enjoy this role, if you enjoy Working with driving a forklift to help load multiple stops on a flatbed carrying material 8' up to 48' in length. Working safely and learning various skills at the same time. Working the evening shift (5:00PM 2:00AM). Working outdoors in all seasons and temperatures. Working with a team and being accountable for your own work too. Working with heavy equipment, machinery, and chainsaws. Working with simple math tools that help you with measurements. Working with various systems to process orders. Key Qualities & Responsibilities: Running a forklift daily, manually pulling orders, operating a chainsaw, and loading trucks daily. Be coachable and willing to seek input from management and team. Be committed to customer service and safety. Be committed to wearing the required personal protective equipment without being prompted. Be committed to safely operating and maintain all Weyerhaeuser equipment to and move products to designated areas outbound trailers. Be committed to take personal safety and the safety of others very seriously. Be committed to always speaking up about anything unsafe. Be committed to accurately counting, measuring, and documenting daily inventory for shipping and receiving.
