Our new hospital and medical campus AdventHealth Lenexa City Center will open in 2025. The role you'll contribute: The Certified Central Processing Tech functions as a member of the support team for the hospital. He/she is responsible for the decontamination and sterilization of instrumentation and equipment used in providing direct patient care. The Certified Central Processing Tech is cross-trained to assume all responsibilities within the scope of the Central Processing Department. The value you'll bring to the team: Accurately assemble instrument trays. Sterilize instruments. Return sterile instruments to their proper location. Stock patient care equipment. Able to accurately identify instruments The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Required Qualifications: High School Diploma Able to accurately identify instruments Ability to operate Steam Sterilizers Ability to operate Washer Disinfector Accurately read and document Biological results Properly clean patient care equipment Preferred Qualifications: One to two years of position-related experience Junior college/Technical School Certification obtained through IAHCSMM or CBSPD must be obtained within 1 year of employment BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations, and ordinances.
