Food Safety and Quality Assurance Lead (2nd Shift) Join to apply for the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Lead (2nd Shift) role at Royal Fresh Cuts. Salary: $24.50 - $26.50 per hour. Job Description As the Quality Assurance Team Lead, you will monitor and maintain the facilitys Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs, ensuring compliance with company, government, customer, and GSFI standards. You will inspect, audit, and validate all phases of quality performancequality at the source, raw materials, production, packaging, and distribution. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the smooth running of the department by playing a leading and supportive role in the daily affairs as needed by management. Play a leading role in training and verifying SFQA technicians to execute all quality procedures, inspections, and required laboratory tests. Assist management in monitoring and training all personnel in GMP to ensure food safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and SQF standards. Routinely conduct internal audits such as GMP, Glass and Brittle Plastic, Pre?op, etc. Accurately report data and daily HACCP documents for compliance of Food Safety & Quality Programs, including customer?facing documents such as Certificates of Analysis. Assist in inventory management of chemicals, PPE, and supplies needed by the FSQA team. Assist in sample collection, inspections, preparations, analytical testing, interpretation, recording, and reporting of analytical results, taking action when results are not within specification. Conduct food safety and quality checks at required frequencies. Assist in paperwork review and filing. Provide all initial and ongoing quality and GMP training programs for quality inspectors and the general employee population. Other duties as assigned. Leadership Responsibilities Energetic and forward?thinking individual with ability to maintain effective working relationships within operations. Maintain an active physical presence on the production floor as required. Manage projects from initiation to completion with minimal direction and supervision. Carry out defined procedures with or without specific instructions, learn new duties, and train new FSQA hires. Communicate to all levels of management in a professional manner. Capable of following work direction. Protect confidential and sensitive information. Requirements Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently; bilingual a plus. 2+ years in the food manufacturing industry. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Flexibility to work around changing work schedules. Ability to direct, train, and coach employees in a positive manner. Internal applicants must be a permanent employee. Company participates in E?Verify; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Must pass a pre?employment background check and drug test. Education / Certification High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree preferred. HACCP certification preferred. Working Conditions Work in a noisy, wet, and cold environment (approximately 34?38?F). Physical Requirements Lift up to 50?+?lbs. Bend, squat, stand, walk, reach, push, and pull for 8?10 hours a day. Perform repetitive motions during the entire shift.
