Medical Staff Peer Review Specialist Provides operational oversight of all medical staff peer review processes to ensure accurate identification, tracking, analysis, and reporting of clinical performance and/or unprofessional conduct. This position will collect, compile, and analyze peer review data in a manner that promotes education, improvement, and patient safety; and conduct ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of all peer review activities. The Medical Staff Peer Review Specialist will work closely with the Medical Staff Excellence Committee (MSCE) Chair, Vice President of Medical Affairs, and Medical Staff in order to maintain peer review structure and its integrity. Required Skills Critical thinking ability Strong customer service orientation and teamwork ethic High energy and ability to work at a fast pace in a volume?oriented production environment Evidence of continuing education and self?development Personal computer skills and knowledge of applicable software programs Ability to present to and facilitate medical staff meetings Outstanding interpersonal skills, verbal communications, ability to negotiate with peers and supervisors Ability to provide feedback in a positive yet assertive way Very strong organizational skills and ability to re?prioritize quickly Ability to make decisions within scope of position and work with minimal supervision Computer literacy with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, database and contact management software, and browser?based workflow applications Willingness to ask questions, take initiative to streamline processes, procedures, and practices Required Experience Licensed Vocational Nurse with at least five (5) years of acute?care nursing At least one (1) year recent experience in medical staff peer review, performance improvement, or quality management in a healthcare facility Computer literacy with expertise in database entry, extraction, reporting and analysis Must obtain LA City Fire Card within six (6) months of employment Preferred Experience Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree Masters Degree Location 1225 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90017 Shift: Days Seniority Level Mid?Senior level Employment Type Full?time Job Function Health Care Provider Industry Hospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
