QC Welding Inspector Koch Specialty Plant Services, LLC Our company is hiring a QC Welding Inspector to provide field QC support for turnaround projects across the U.S. This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship. What You Will Do Perform quality control functions and develop field inspection plans for KSPS projects. Develop skills towards becoming a site QC lead, potentially leading QC on projects. Maintain digital records of quality packages for client and KSPS corporate quality personnel. Keep corporate and site quality personnel informed of quality issues. Maintain daily and rollover logs detailing site activities. Collaborate effectively with onsite quality personnel. Inspect material receiving and approval. Oversee third?party NDE and heat treatment, reviewing documentation for accuracy. Review welder qualifications before work execution. Monitor field welds and flange make?ups for code compliance, maintaining weld and flange logs. Conduct in?person field reviews of KSPS personnel work as required. Interact with KSPS engineering, client, and third?party authorized inspectors. Physical Requirements Work long hours, up to twelve hours a day, including weekends when necessary. Work in confined spaces; climb ladders, scaffolds, and operate at heights. Wear required personal protective equipment such as rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air?purifying respirators, safety harnesses, FRC coveralls, hard hats, ear plugs, and safety glasses. Complete Respiratory Protection Fit Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, and any additional medical exams required by client guidelines. Maintain normal hearing and vision per client requirements. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Ability to read and interpret ISO, P&ID, Installation / Fabrication drawings. Familiarity with ASME, API, and NBIC codes. Proficiency with MS Office. Knowledge of non?destructive examination and welding methods. Certified Welding Inspector certificate or API 510 Certification. What Will Put You Ahead High School diploma or equivalent. Experience with pressure vessel modifications. Experience with flange inspection and assembly. Experience with pipe fabrication and installation. Experience with fired equipment (flares, heaters, etc.). Good verbal and written communication skills.
