System Administrator Level 3 We are seeking an experienced System Administrator Level 3 with 15 years of extensive experience in managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of system administration, cloud services, network management, cybersecurity, and enterprise-grade applications. This role requires a strong problem solver with the ability to lead, mentor, and support junior administrators while maintaining system integrity and performance. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain servers, network devices, and enterprise-level IT systems. Implement and monitor security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and endpoint protection. Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies. Optimize system performance and troubleshoot technical issues. Oversee cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid infrastructures. Perform software installations, updates, and system patches. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python). Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies. Lead technical projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Mentor and guide junior system administrators. Requirements TS SCI CI poly Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 15 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on enterprise environments. Must be compliant with DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 (Security+ CE) Advanced certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Red Hat Certified Engineer). Expertise in Windows and Linux server environments. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Advanced experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python). Deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and incident response. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Information Technology or related field. Experience in DevOps practices and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins). Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices. Experience with database management (SQL, NoSQL). Prior experience in leading or mentoring a technical team. Working Conditions Full-time on-site.
