Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our healthcare team. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner. You will use your cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images. Maintaining a high standard of medical ethics at all times is essential for this role. You will establish and maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with patients and all organizational staff. Your ability to display empathy, compassion, and integrity is vital to the success of our team. Responsibilities Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations Utilize new technologies to improve patient care Supervise and train students and medical sonographers as needed Coordinate work with physicians or other healthcare team members Additionally, based on the facility, some Sanford markets/facility sites may expand job responsibilities to include echocardiography. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or a minimum of one year equivalent work experience is preferred Registration in at least one of the following areas of sonography is required: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required Benefits Sanford Health offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
