Senior Manager, IP for top tier global law firm client in Washington, DC. This role is responsible for the firmwide IP Prosecution practice management. Duties: Supervise several direct reports including Docketing, Patent Agent, Patent Law Clerk, and IP administrative staff team. Develop best practices and procedures for the department. Conducts performance appraisals/evaluations and professional development plans. Manages foreign and domestic IP Prosecution dockets, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Monitors IP law updates and trends in foreign and domestic jurisdictions. IP team liaison with internal departments. Manages relationships with third-party agencies. Coordinates IP staff training and development. Supervises complex IP projects for attorneys. Reviews departmental budget and expenses. Manages case/client intake and file transfer processes. Responsible for general prosecution support functions. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Must have at least eight years relevant IP experience and three years of supervisory experience. Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, electronic intellectual property resources, the USPTO website, and IP docketing systems such as Inprotech. Familiarity with SAEGIS and Coresearch. Salary range is $154k to $192k commensurate with experience.
