Intern, Water Treatment Services Data Analyst

What You Can ExpectThis position will be located on the University of Iowa Campus, and requires enrollment at the University. The intern will support Water Treatment Services. This group operates the University of Iowa Main Campus and Oakdale Water Treatment Plants, and provides high-quality water across campus.Daily, the Intern will assist with completing tasks regarding the monitoring of water production, coordination and reporting with Metering groups, customer usage for billing. This role requires use of a variety of common, and proprietary software, advanced Excel skills would be helpful.This Internship will commence in early January and is scheduled to continue until December 31, 2026.Objectives:Enter data for monthly billing of UI campus water usage and help update permitsMonitor water treatment systems through data analysisData entry to facilitate compliance monitoring of public water systemsCommunicate with other staff and university employeesGenerate and distribute monthly reports for billing and consumptionMaintain records and databasesCollect data from Metering GroupWhat You'll BringStudent must be currently enrolled in the University of Iowa and maintain enrollment throughout the internshipExperience with Microsoft Excel (Tables, V-lookups)An academic focus on Engineering, Construction Management, Business or other relevant programAdditional DetailsAll Iowa City based internships are located on the University CampusThis role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basisMust possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving recordMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesAbility to meet highest attendance requirementsAbility to communicate, and present information to management effectively, both written and verbally, and digitallyAbility to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracyCompensationHourly Range: $22.50 - $32.00 hourlyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
