Job Purpose The Shop Painter's primary responsibility is to prepare and paint drilling tools and equipment. This entry-level Shop Painter will also cross-train to assemble and repair drilling tools as well as troubleshoot and implement preventative/corrective maintenance on field equipment tools. Roles & ResponsibilitiesPerform cleaning and general cosmetic work on Managed Pressure Drilling equipmentInspect equipment for damage and prep for paintingAssist in training less experienced PaintersPrioritize workload according to the planned production schedulePrepare tools for shipment and convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage/other designated area by hand, forklift, or other means as required and in accordance with operator trainingAssemble/disassemble product line tools as per procedure or Technical Work Instruction in accordance with Quality standardsTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with the toolsImplement mandatory modifications and/or preventive and corrective maintenance of the tools/assetsConduct testing of tools/assets to ensure integrity of assembliesMonitor, record, source and re-order day to day spares and consumables associated with the running of the plantOpen crates and sort and place materials on racks/shelves/in bins as requiredRecord operational hours on tools/assets in work order systemMonitor and source spares and consumable levels to keep the plant operational and cost effectiveLiaise with the production/shop supervisors and leads, engineering, and other support functions as required, communicating maintenance issues and requirementsMaintain daily workshop housekeeping Successfully complete training plan and competency standards as set out in the position within company guidelinesMaintain a consistent level of production quality by adhering to manufacturing procedures and work instructions developing corrective action that may reduce ineffective and inefficient operation Perform various other duties and activities assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the jobUnderstand and follow maintenance and repair procedures/documentation for applicable products and equipment and complete all relevant documentationRequired to be available for any approved overtime outside of normal work scheduleRequired to be available on call for any urgent needsExperience & EducationREQUIRED 2+ years in related painting experience in an industrial environment and preservation Manufacturing, repair and maintenance, or mechanic environmentHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to operate forklift Ability to operate overhead cranes & jib cranesPREFERRED2+ years' experience in related product line within Energy sector (MPD or BOP preferred)Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesREQUIRED Ability to wear a respiratorBasic understanding of rigging equipmentBasic computer skillsBasic operational knowledge of crane, forklift and materials handling equipmentGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work well with team members as well as individuallyExcellent organizational skillsMust be able to follow instructionsAbility to lift up to 40 poundsPREFERREDPossess knowledge of workshop tools utilized by facilityKnowledge of IPC requirements is a plus#LI-KP1
