Job Summary: As a Surgical Technologist II, you will provide vital service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Your responsibilities include ensuring the availability and proper arrangement of surgical equipment and supplies, assisting the surgeon during operations in accordance with professional standards, and maintaining a clean operating room by properly routing used equipment and materials. Qualifications: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technician program is required. You must be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or be able to obtain CST certification within 6 months. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Adherence to policies and regulations regarding the maintenance of a sterile field is essential. Strong knowledge of basic patient care and safety concepts. Application of aseptic principles for optimal patient care. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with surgical equipment and instrumentation is required. Understanding of various surgical procedures with the ability to anticipate the surgeon's needs.
