Safety ManagerPosition OverviewThe Safety Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring workplace safety and compliance with federal and state regulations. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs, policies, and procedures to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment for all employees.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Provide training and support to employees on safety practices and emergency response procedures.Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and compliance documentation.Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices related to workplace safety.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in safety management or a related role.Certification in OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 is required.Must possess knowledge of SSHO, Safety Engineer, CQM, and EM 385 standards.Experience working with Navy, Federal, Airforce, Aerospace, or DoD safety regulations is highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively train and enforce safety policies.
